New York's National Arts Club has been championing the arts since 1898. Its renowned membership has included the likes of Theodore Roosevelt, Mark Twain and Dwight D. Eisenhower, whilst current day members include such luminaries as Martin Scorsese, Ethan Hawke and Robert Redford. The NAC's recent addition of a Contemporary Art Division has injected new life into the private club, with the NAC hosting some dynamic performances from Russian contemporary artist Andrey Bartenev as well as experimental ensemble FLUXCONCERT.
I recently interviewed the new department's head and chief curator, Stacy Engman (3rd from right) and you can read all about it here.
